What we do

Non-profit Organization Sing Out Asia was established on December 4, 2007. During 2007 and 2008, driving force of Sing Out Asia was both music and cross-culture programs. Aim of our activities has been:

Build common understanding among the youth of Asia.

Beyond nationalism we should unite.

We prepare for the power shift to Asia through new type of youth.

Music activities and cross-cultural activities have a big synergistic effect.

How we started

* A well-known composer of the Philippines, Mr. Atek Jacint wanted to restart Sing Out Asia and we have asked him to come to Tokyo to sound out the possibility.

* A well-known composer and arranger, Mr. Yasunori Soryo is living in Okinawa and also wanted to restart Sing Out Asia. He organized a group called N’JAMI to sing the soul of Asia. Mr. Soryo also joined the meeting.

* MRA House Foundation initiated old Sing Out Asia movement that directors of the foundation also join the meeting.

* Also alumni of MRA Traveling School, Mr. Hiroki Nakajima and a Councilor of MRA House Foundation, Mr. Saburo Hatano attended the meeting.

* As a result of this meeting we decided to establish Non-Profit Organization Sing Out Asia with a help of MRA House Foundation. We applied to the Cabinet office of Japan on October 2007 and had approved by the office on December 4, 2007.

* Director of Non-Profit Organization Sing Out Asia, Mr. Saburo Hatano has been associated with cross-Culture program since 1970. He has been promoting youth exchange program with Myanmar and other countries last 10 years with his organization called Global Youth United.
